Not to detract from the good point you are making, actually there was an Internet long before 1992 - there just wasn&#039;t a WWW  for the general public (WWW = Internet to most people today). I was posting on Usenet and sending email in 1987, when most sites in Australia used to dial each other at regular intervals to transfer these packets of data.
